Quality has been a central value at VITOS from professional expertise combined with grand-mother & mother tips due to the brand’s rigorous selection of extra-fine yarns. To ensure that VITOS knits remain soft and hard-wearing, these garments must be properly cared for by favouring gentle washing. It is important to always read the instructions on the composition and care labels.

In order to preserve the beauty of your VITOS clothes, turn them inside out when washing to prevent snagging and avoid damaging fasteners. In case of machine washing, use a mesh laundry bag.

WASHING CASHMERE KNITS

Our cashmere has been selected with great care but sometimes pilling might happen because of a coat or bag rubbing it. We recommend a regular washing, after 2 or 3 wears. Washing cashmere enables it to stay smooth and soft.

You can wash cashmere by hand in cold water or by washing machine in wool program using cold cycle. Dry it flat on a towel away from the heat and light. Finally iron on a low heat without pulling or stretching.

WASHING WOOLKNITS

Wool yarn knits should be washed by hand in cold water. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach and do not soak garments as this will damage the yarns. Rinse garments several times in clean water. Squeeze very gently to avoid twisting and ensure garments do not lose their shape.

WASHING COTTON KNITS

Cotton yarns, knits should be machine washed on a delicate cycle at no more than 30°. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach. Choose a gentle spin cycle to avoid twisting and ensure garments do not lose their shape.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Over time, knits may snag or pill in places where the fabric is rubbed. Special pill remover devices exist to care for knit garments. To fix snags, small, easy-to-use crochet hooks can be used to pull the threads through to the other side of the damaged garments. To eliminate pilling, pilling razors are very effective and do not damage the beauty and soft texture of garments.
